New Clothes

Ohhhh Jesus help me put this into words, please………

Things are major busy for me right now, besides getting ready for the holidays, I have been trying to get several projects here taken care of, my things packed and my house in order to be able to leave for the U.S. in a few days. And then I came upon this:

Yesterday one of the most disheartening things was confirmed. There is this wonderful young teenage girl in the village, she is handicapped, but it doesn’t stop her by any means; she doesn’t have any shoulders. (Now I am sure there are many of you who know who I am talking about.) Well anyway for several months now I have noticed that everyday she wears the same clothes. I was wondering if these were the only clothes she had, and she usually has body odor. So yesterday I was spending some time with Zarah and I thought about this young girl, so I asked about her.

Wellllllll yes, these are her only clothes, and she is not able to bathe herself. Her best friend Bestra does it for her. Can you imagine only having one set of clothes and having to depend on your friend to give you a bath? Thank you Jesus for such a wonderful friend she has and bless Bestra beyond anything she could ever imagine.

Needless to say, my heart just broke for her, and it just brings me to tears even thinking about it now. So on top of all the things I HAVE TO DO, yes, I went shopping today, and had to have one of the guys take me. (Ohhh Jesus bless Joseph!)

So I went and bought her a whole new set of clothes, undergarments included. I bought shoes, pants, sweater, socks, panties, coat, everything. Just think about it, it’s cold here, very cold, and if all you had to wear was one sweater a denim jacket jeans and slippers, how would you like spending your winter like this??? And you know this young girl, she never never ever complains about anything.

Does she have parents? Yes. Do they take care of her? No!!!!

So anyway, I brought the new clothes to the village and was going to just leave them for her, but when my friends saw them they were so excited they sent for her. I didn’t want her to be embarrassed by any means at her state, but all the same they went for her. And upon her entering, they began to show her her gifts. And yes Bestra was all “come on let’s get a shower and change!” So off to the shower they went and within a short time they were out, and she was wearing her new apparel. Then Bestra began to do her hair and to apply makeup to her face and within moments here was this beaming beautiful young woman!

I can’t even begin to tell you how my heart is overwhelmed with joy beyond words at the sight of her face and knowing that God let me be a part of this Blessing!…………. Now with all the hustle and bustle that Christmas brings isn’t this what it all really is about??????? Bringing joy to those little ones out there, they are every where maybe even living next door to you.........
